Yes.

The Bible is clear on what salvation is. The person who understands this, believes this and this is their heart's will can be saved. God promised that He would not turn us down, if we asked for salvation on this earth. So one who believes and follows the NT on salvation, can pretty much say I am saved.

God Bless.

Yes we know for a fact that we are saved for Jesus died for our sins pass present and future and by accepting him as your personal Lord and Savior and repenting of your sins on a daily basis we know that we are saved by grace thru faith and not of ourselves its a gift from God,you must be born of water and spirit to enter intothe kingdom of God.

According to 1John, a person's assurance of salvation is relative to the degree to which they behave as a child of God should.

For example, "This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother." 1John 3:10

Saved from what? If the question is whether we know we are going to hell or heaven, God is the Judge and only He knows.

We cannot place ourselves into God's position to judge.

you can with some confidence know where your going
here Paul declares some people that are alive are in
the book of life...

"Php 4:3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. "

so if you are HONESTLY working hard at doing what Christ asked you don't have to have a doubtful heart...

Paul also in another verse talks with confidence that he had
run the race and did what Christ required as was going to
join Christ in heaven...

doubt is Satans tool...

Yes. When you call out to God and ask Jesus to come into your life and make you whole He does.
If you even just hope what you prayed was enough, then you are.
Only those who prayed it, but really don't even care if God is real or not probably need to reconsider their fate.

they assume they are saved thinking that what they have adopted to believe is the truth. So in their imagination they believe that they are saved thinking that their religion is the right one. However, this may bring self-satisfaction which in a way may mean that you are saved.

Nope.

Can a person know what the manner of their death will be?
Can a person know what the meaning of life is?
Can a person know if the chicken or the egg came first?
Who cares.

No one is saved. When you die, you're freakin dead and that's it. :)
