I mean, what's in it for scientists who believe in evolution and a 4.6-billion-year-old earth?

What do scientists have to gain by disagreeing with Creationism if (as Creationists believe) all honest scientific work supports it? Do Creationists believe that mainstream scientists get their jollies from making up wild untrue hypotheses about life and the universe? What would be the point?

Oh, and with regard to a previous question of mine: I looked up those "human" footprints that are supposed to exist next to dinosaurs footprints. Somehow the Creationists' descriptions are always more compelling than the actual evidence.

Do you honestly think that the illuminati would allow that to happen? I am sure Lucifer is going to tell the Rothchild's to allow them to accept Creationism, sarcasm.

When was the last time a big bang ever created order?
Oh Billions of years ago...I forgot.

Well, for one thing, scientists weren't around 'billions' of years ago, so they cannot say how old the earth is. They are ASSUMING that the earth has been here for 'billions' of years, but that's nonsense. There is no proof of that. Secondly, scientists deny the fact that God created the earth; that it just 'came about' from nowhere. They dispute the bible because they have the arrogance of man - that they can prove God is wrong by their 'carbon dating' and other methods. Truth is, they have no clue how long this earth has been here. As for evolution, it never existed. Again, they use that 'dumb Darwin' theory that man came from apes - LOL. That's a joke and I find it amusing - not serious. If evolution existed at all, then why has everything all of a sudden 'stopped evolving'? Isn't evolution supposed to be a 'cycle' or ongoing process?? Well, obviously, it's not. Of course, we don't see anything evolving - and and we won't either - Why? Because it's a lie - nothing evolves from anything. A horse + a horse = a horse - not a pegasus (bird crossed with a horse). It's just ridiculous, but so many people are gullible enough to believe in evolution. They can argue that it exists all they want, but truth is, God created all things - didn't create evolution. He created Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve had Cain and Abel - not two monkeys or apes. Creation is the truth; evolution is 'the big lie'. I believe God any day of the week over what scientists say and claim to be real and true! The BIBLE is all the evidence I need to know that evolution doesn't exist and never did! God is perfect - man is NOT. God is all-knowing - man is NOT! I rest my case!

because people will always look for an explanation other than God- it is more convenient (if there is no God, you can do whatever you want). And dont forget that there are some Christian scientists and that science is always changing and old theories are constantly proven wrong. Read the Bible- what other book from that long ago is still relevant? Science from then sure isnt. And science CAN be used to prove or explain the Bible. As a Christian and scientist, I have not seen anything in science that I could not find how it would "fit" with the Bible.

So much of it is academic peer pressure; it’s not wanting to be different. We are so indoctrinated in molecules-to-man evolution, and many people are intimidated (e.g. Ben Stein's new movie).

Secular scientists are fallible human beings with limited knowledge and limited understanding, and like every human, they hate to be criticized and are subject to bias and preconceived ideas, and they don’t want to lose their grant money.

Neo-Darwinian evolution is a belief system about the past based on the words of men who don’t know everything and who were not there. And history shows that the scientific establishment has been wrong time after time; that is why the science textbooks constantly have to be revised. Often, the bold pronouncements of secular scientists are contradicted years or even months later.

The majority of people used to believe that the world was flat; did that make it flat? The majority of doctors used to think they didn’t need to wash their hands before an operation; did that save the people they were infecting? And on and on... Those who discovered the truth and tried to teach differently were soundly rejected by their colleagues. And as it has been said, “The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus.”

Swedish biologist Soren Lovtrup made an interesting statement: “I suppose that nobody will deny that it is a great misfortune if an entire branch of science becomes addicted to a false theory. But this is what has happened in biology...I believe that one day the Darwinian myth will be ranked the greatest deceit in the history of science. When this happens, many people will pose the question: How did this ever happen?”

From what I have seen, I have to agree with T. Wallace: “A major reason why evolutionist arguments can sound so persuasive is because they often combine assertive dogma with intimidating, dismissive ridicule towards anyone who dares to disagree with them. Evolutionists wrongly believe that their views are validated by persuasive presentations invoking scientific terminology and allusions to a presumed monopoly of scientific knowledge and understanding on their part. But they haven’t come close to demonstrating evolutionism to be more than an ever-changing theory with a highly questionable and unscientific basis. (The situation isn’t helped by poor science education generally. Even advanced college biology students often understand little more than the dogma of evolutionary theory, and few have the time [or the guts] to question its scientific validity.)”

Dr. Ross Olson, “...often those who have consciously sought safety by staying in the middle of the herd have ended up, like lemmings, in the middle of a stampede off an intellectual cliff.”

We should become a bit wary if someone says, ‘But everybody knows…’, or ‘All scientists agree…’. They probably don’t. And even if they did, it might still be wrong.

At one time, most people believed in Creationism.

Yet, the devil deceived men into creating a bible translation that would support the theory of evolution. These men who brought this translation to a reality were evolutionists and spiritualists. And their bible translation was heavily bias and supported evolution and spiritualism concepts.

Yet, science has been working ever since to prove one or the other and with the help of a bible that was corrupted, the scientific community leaned more towards the belief of evolution.

Yet, the interesting thing is as science becomes more advanced, belief in evolution has been losing ground.

What they are finding is that the fingerprints of God are there, they have just been covered over by man's.

I just accept that God is THE scientist of all time, and the smartest by far. However He created the earth, be it Big Bang or molding the earth into form, etc., does not really matter. What matters is I believe HE is the one who did it, no matter what some egotistical scientist claims. After all, that grant money has to keep coming in for new studies, so of course they are going to keep the 'fires burning' over any creation issue. Can you imagine how many people would be out of high-paying jobs if we all accepted one issue on the earth's and universe's creation?

Well, you really can't blame the scientists on this one. You see, their method is to collect evidence on some thing that proves or disproves a theory. Now, since creationism is based on " something " coming from " nothing ", well there's nothing to show people about where it came from. There for, they have no evidence to support the theory. The scientific mind set is at a natural disadvantage here.

Give them time. They will come to accept creationism through " process of elimination ". It's just going to take a while.

best wishes.

Most of the scientists are scientists because they choose to practice Naturalism. It has to be seen, measured, held, and can only have a natural answer.

A lot of them stopped practicing science when they decided that God is not an acceptable explanation of anything.

In other words, they made a philosophical decision that there is no God and therefore they chose to believe in evolution, for example.

Um, because most Creationist "theory" is hooey! lol The problem is that if your telling everyone to follow religious leaders blindly and not think for themselves, it's pretty damn hard to think critically.

But....you can learn from science and still believe God created life, just not literally in the way the bible describes it. Prophets wrote down the bible, and translated it over thousands of years--how can we trust humans to get it all right? Afterall, we are finite. lol

Many physicists think the universe started with some incredible burst/bang of energy? Sounds like God to me. Life on earth has the genetic capability to evolve and adapt to change, why does that threaten the idea of God? Isn't it evidence of the amazing sacredness of life?

Finally, if we weren't meant to understand genetics, evolution, and ancient geology, why the heck would God give us the ability to figure it out?!?

There have been several Creationist "hoaxes", the most recent is the London, Texas hammer - it's a hammer head encased in rock. This has been been throughly debunked along with others.

Added a list of creationist claims that have been refuted. I recommend independtly verifing what this site says.

Scientists do not "believe" in Evolution; if they did, it would be because they only "believed" in reality itself. Evolution is a proven fact, in that it happens every day and is observable.

"Creation Science," however, is quite the overreaction from the religious section of the world. Most are uneducated, and came up with an idea in the shower, pondered it a little more and then said that it disproved Evolution without using the Scientific Method or even proving themselves.

Those footprints were forged, and I am ashamed to live in the state where that occured (At least, I think it was in Texas)
