what did he mean by this?

my friend offered to hook me up with a really cool guy (which is fine by me) anyway today she asked him "so r u gonna date her?" and his reply was "today's not the day for answering questions." ...so why is he avoiding the question like that? do u think he likes me or not?

seems like he's shy and scared. not that he's scared of you, that is - just scared in general, and might not really know what to do
