Try apple pancakes with sour cream. Also drizzle some strawberry or raspberry syrup along with it. Balances the sweetness a little but tastes great. My mom will be 88 this Christmas, and she regularly makes huge batches of her apple pancakes and freezes them to divvy up amongst her grown grandchildren. I asked her "How 'bout ME??" (They're always better when made by Mom!)
Or good old potato pancakes.

Still make them once in a while. My kids love them. My husband isn't a real big fan of breakfast for dinner but I am. So when my husband was working the night shift I would make the kids and myself breakfast for dinner. They LOVED it and it was something all of them would eat too. Now that they are all older I still make it for them sometimes. Like if their Dad is going to be working real late and won't be here for dinner or if I make my husband and myself a dinner that I know the kids will not eat (like liver) then they get pancakes. When I was little my mom didn't really make pancakes much. My Dad would make us a big breakfast on the weekends like fried eggs over easy, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits, fried potatoes and toast. Yummy!! My mom would make homemade donuts and ley me help. That was always ALOT of fun.

I made pancakes for dinner tonight! Two nights ago we had waffles. My son likes pancakes & waffles, and since we rarely have breakfast at home, we have them for dinner.
Cheap and easy.
Actually, right now I'm trying to use up some flour, eggs, and maple syrup. That's a big reason I'm into these items for dinner so frequently right now. I've been making them with different types of flour for different textures. I've been making them with 1/2 brown & 1/2 white rice flour. But this week I'm trying to use up the wheat flour, so I'm doing 1/2 whole wheat pastry flour and 1/2 all-purpose unbleached white flour

Very rarely - usually my dad would make pancakes on the weekend, but it was a huge treat when he would make them for dinner. The only thing he would ever do other than plain was apple cinnamon, and he had this elaborate apple corer that he'd use.
I don't think I've ever made pancakes, actually, but if I did, yes I probably would make them for dinner sometimes.

Made them for dinner tonight, for my son. I'd originally made them yesterday and froze the last two. Tonight, I just stuck them in the toaster and they were ready! They are my bastardization of the IHOP Happy Face Pancake and my son loves them. I use whole wheat flower and cocoa powder, with other regular pancake ingredients, then top with a little cream cheese and powdered sugar frosting with chocolate chips. NOT the most nutritious of meals but, he'd eaten very well throughout the day.

I never had them for dinner as a child, but when I used to work I was tired, and making pancakes was simple to make for dinner.
I still have them today.

Yep, sure do. I love an occasional Breakfast at Dinner. Left over mashed potatoes make great pancakes or flapjacks also.
Pancakes, eggs, sausage and toast. Or Sausage Gravy over biscuits.
Hmmmm......getting hungry now.

My mom did serve them and I think now it was because we had no money. She called it an "upside down day". It was definitely fun for us.
