I am an eagle scout and I am a freshman in highschool. This kid in wrestling was pissing me off today because he kept saying I was doing "illegal" moves on him and he headbutted me and I kept my cool about it. I am only 142 and he weighs in at like 158. I was beating him for the most part too. I mouthed off to him a bit and that was it. Coach didnt see any of it or atleast I think he didnt. I dont know. But now there is a bump there and i think it is only going to get bigger tomorow. I seriously am considering fighting this kid. Would my reputation as an eagle scout really take that much of a blow? Would people really think that different of me? I dont know what I should do.

Fighting is not always the best course of action. Sound like the other guy is nothing but a sore loser and was ticked off that you were better then him.

I think if you are worried about your reputation then you should consider the fact that since no one really saw the provocation they might assume you are the one being the aggressor.

Be the bigger and better man and let it go, however don't be shy about protecting your self if this guy starts something. besides if you can whoop him it is better to look like the good guy doing it,

Best of luck.

PS. A good rib punch is handy in a pinch lol.

Your a freshman Eagle??? Dang!!!! No, it wouldn't, don't listen to these guys about 'fighting doesn't solve anyrthing" Hell yes it does!!!! Look at all the wars, there was fighting, it solved more people from getting killed. I am an Eagel Scout and I am a freshman in college. You gotta fight sometime, or you are a sissy!!!

Watch Eric Boulton for the ATL Thrashers, that will give you some influence!!!

I don't know what your being an Eagle Scout brings to this debate, but even if you weren't: fighting is what cowardly stupid people do to solve their problems. I highly recommend you be the mature one, forget it, and move on with your life. You might consider talking to your coach about it if you think he did something intentional and you think that there should be consequences. But don't be a punk. It'll make you look really dumb if you win, and even dumber if you lose.

If you're an eagle scout, then you should know that fighting doesn't solve anything. Think about how you'll view yourself if you start a needless fight rather than what others will think of you.

Yes, your reputation would suffer - be the bigger man and let it go - what will a fight achieve?

Getting into a fight is a really stupid idea. Just walk away from it. You can get yourself in big trouble if you fight with this guy.

Fighting never solves anything...just beat him in the ring in front of everybody. That will burn him up more than any physical beating ever could...
