The gentle??? What on earth do you mean???

The only thing I can think of that remotely resembles that is gender...The answer to that is no. Not in humans or any other upper level creatures at least. You shouldn't want to, anyway.

I assume you mean gender as in Male or Female.

You can only control this if you are having a child using IVF procedures. Once IVF is performed, you can get a PGD test done on the fertilized egg at appx 5 days when the cells do not have specialized functions and can become any part of the body.

At this point the chromosomes will determine the sex of the child and if you have more than one fertilized egg, you can choose the gender as long as the eggs are different sexes.

The entire process would cost appx 20-25 thousand dollars and you would have to make sure the PGD testing facility will inform you of the sex. Many do not because of the ethical issues raised by gender selection.

If you are still interested, check out a local fertility clinic.

Choosing the baby gentle is a difficult process. It will cost you anywhere between $10 for the cheaper versions to over $500 for the high end brand names.

Do you mean any way to choose the baby's sex? Maybe if you're adopting...
