First: You apparently do NOT know or understand what religion is.
Second: Both Money and Power is given by others. You can not just "get" it by starting a religion.
Third: If you did start and did get money, there is no guarantee you will get lots of it. All of world's religions except Islam have the most difficult time getting money and power.
That is because both money and power comes from people. Unless you have people, there is no money or power. All religions of the world except Islam is losing people and power.
Everyone else is just like you, trying to start his/her own religion to get money and power, forgetting that you must first have people.

If you are aiming to be a founder of one religion which is false religion, you may get rich and little power from your own members but you are only committing sin in that manner. You are making religion as your business to get rich. Do not ruin your future by merely wanting to be rich illegally.

If you have the ability to brainwash people...yes..you get both the money and power.
Start a religion based on aliens, UFOs... definitely people will come flocking to you.
Promise them a trip to MARS. I think we have more fools in this world.

It's all been done before.
At the end of the day, you will die like all of us will.So don't waste your life with material things. Do something worthwhile with your existence. Money and power are just more to worry about.

my parents tried this with a rogue pastor
they had dreams of granduer, the Glory of God, and leading many to Jesus and big buildings and more churches to do the same
sadly, it drained our family, caused deep division and emotional scars, and ended with a small cult following who vanished away into neighboring churches and are regarded as freaks of anitquity
they had power, but in their own right and circle
they had money, what we gave to them
