my dogs heat has just started and her nipples are a little big

don't listen to donkey Johnson or what ever it goes by. I think someone took his medication and hid it! Dogs will get enlarged nipples during a heat due to hormone levels that are higher. thanks for the question!

yes it is.it is from the female hormones running through her system.just be sure to keep a very close eye on her when she goes outside.male dogs can smell that hormone from miles away.you don't need an unwanted pregnancy with 7-8 little pups to find homes for. ^.^

It sure is and its also the norm for all those other parts to get a little big too. Its all the excitement and extra blood pumping through!

I think so because my lil puppy who is now a year went into heat and hers got big.. but if you really wanna know check with a vet

Yes. I allowed both of my dogs to have one period before getting them fixed, and both of them during that time seemed to have enlarged nipples. Don't worry , it goes down after that time is over or after you get her fixed. Good luck and God bless =]

yes this is normal. And the vagina will also swell while she is in season, and her behavior will change somewhat
