Well, yahoo will say that asking for prayer should not be done in a Qustion and Answer forum, so technically, yes; it is against the T OS to post here
But, I will pray for your mom

To best of my knowledge, it is not against the rules of y/a to request others to pray for you.Whenever we are in distress, we seek help from others. It is a common practice and no one should find a fault in it.
I have seen that group prayers give amazing good results. I wish your Mom well and I am praying for her.

And what did Yahoo do, remove your question?

The atheists call it 'soliciting', exactly what, they seem to lack the intelligence to say. But then, you are NOT soliciting anything (e.g., money, business opportunity, etc).

As for this ignoramus 'christian' saying it is unbiblical, I refer her to 1 Samuel 12:19, Genesis 20:7, Genesis 25:21, etc, etc ...

Skip over to new testament, when Jesus INSTRUCTS us to pray for people who aren't even asking, Mathew 5:44!

Romans 15:30 has Saint Paul soliciting prayer!

Go back and read the bible, honey, before opening your mouth here.

THINK!

PS: of course, as I write this, I am praying for your mother's health. As I always tell my friends ... relax, God is in charge!

i don't think of that's against the guidelines. There are alot of questions that at the instant are not interior the line of a question yet people nevertheless placed a question mark on the tip of it just to qualify it to be a question. So why p.c.. on a prayer request?

Some people, sadly, are immature and report nearly anything they disagree with. Most of those are believers.

Now, I don't pray because there's no one to pray to, and saying I will just encourages you to buy into superstitious nonsense, so I won't. Think logically for a moment: IF there was someone up there to pray to, and IF they can control what happens to your mother, aren't they responsible for her illness to begin with? (I know someone will say the devil is, so that means the devil is more powerful than your god)

Prayer is irrational whether you believe in a god or not.

In the bible it states for us to pray for one another. I'll pray for you and your mom. When we pray we should pray the our father prayer and for his will to be done. I'll also pray that God will give you the strength and courage to go through. We should pray for some of these questions to recolonize that God is real, and they better except him, we're living in our last days. I'm sorry they reported you. They're blind.

I wouldn't think it against the rules. Those people who are inclined to pray will do so, and those who are not inclined to pray will not.

I'm not a prayer myself, but I send all my best wishes to you in hope of your mother's speedy recovery.

No it is not against the rules if you form it as a question and do not ask for anything for yourself. Even atheists have done it.

It shouldn't be, it is after all the Religion and Spirituality section. Questions like that are considered chat (?) and sometimes get reported/deleted.
