The credit should go to the British rulers who were tyrannical in their administration and ruthless to Indians. The frustrated and tormented young men required a leader to aggregate them in a group and spearhead them.against the British. Mahatma Gandhi had just returned from South Africa and his skirmishes with the British there was a known fact in India by then.Shri Gandhi called upon the young educated Indians to support him to liberate the nation from the clutches of British rulers.They responded in quite large numbers. Thus Indian Freedom Movement began.
