Who is a Jehovah's witness????

I'm not asking who Jehovah's Witnesses are but yet who on Y!A is a witness. I know who the witnesses are, because, I AM ONE!!!!

Jesus Christ was the first Jehovah Witnesses. I am also and we are not a cult. I am tired of people saying that we are a cult and brainwashed. a cult worships man, we worship Jehovah God. we live in our own homes in 236 lands. no matter what place we live in, we study the same things. people go to the church and each are teaching something different. learn what we are about www.watchtower.org. we don't ride bikes. some one here love to slander us with the lies.

Looks like u got Moises to answer ur question even though he bashes other Witnesses. Just becareful because u may have opened another door where pple come thru and either lie that they are Witnesses like the Aopstates or ones that don't belive in Jehovah. Just a thought!

And for all those of you out there that find our knocking on your door irritating, here's what you do : First ANSWER the door.
Don't hide.
Second: Just tell the Witness that you want to be put on the "do not call "list.
Problem solved.
That way you don't waste our time.

Jesus is the first and he is the greatest witness of his God and Father and his WORD, for which Jesus was the word made flesh John 1:14; THIS IS HOW VALUABLE THE WORD OF GOD IS as John 10:34-36; " I called them gods to whom the word of god came," we have that word. Heb.4:12;
The bible is Jehovah's witness to all humans, knowing the bible from Genesis to Revelations and Matt.22:37-40; loving God and neighbor as Jesus said and wanting to share the word. TRY THIS- I DO NOT CARE WHO YOU ARE IN THIS WORLD TODAY, JUST TRY IT, BIBLE STUDENT OR NOT?

In the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses this is what they try to do? Why?

At 2007 after Christ, the KJV Bible published 1611 C. E. has been in circulation in the world 396 years.

The bible was meant for the last days and the time of the end.

Matt.24: 3 [ end of the world ], 7 [ after major wars as WW1 and WW2, time given for after so all know that is not the end ], 14 [ the kingdom is [ his 2nd ] coming with Jesus as king [ after 2520 years after Babylon world Empire #3 ended Judah kings [ at 606 B. C ]., when Satan has a short time in the time of the end [ WHAT IS THE SHORT TIME FOR SATAN ? IN THE BIBLE ], the world is being made to know, we are near the second coming of Jesus, and many just know but do not know why ], 15 [ Dan.12:1-13; time of the end. Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12; time of the end FROM 2520 YEARS AFTER BABYLON AT YEAR 3460 ], 21,22,34-39;
1Thes.5:1-9,21; To the children of the light, of times and seasons, Jesus 2nd coming is not as a thief in the night. The last thing the majority of the world wants to know is the time and the seasons, they have been made to believe that the bible is wrong, that the bible is not smart enough to give all the time involved from LOST at Eden to SAVED by Jesus, as God gives all but the day and hour which only God knows as it should be, if any are told it is all over in 6130 years or 7130 years, how can any know day and hour?

The time is not yet a critical focus [ as for mistakes made in the past ], some times people try to get ahead of God's plan to reveal things at the right time.
But if all time is given in the bible beyond a shadow of a doubt and that time
is known, how can there be any mistakes? The bible does reveal it all but day and hour.

Those that try very hard to live by and love truthful Bible and Godly standards. Jehovah's Witnesses do not get involved into political matters, no voting, they do not do things according to the world's standards but they look to God for guidance.

They really do try diligently to live by Godly standards and not how everyone else tells you that you should be living your life; hollywood immorality, false religions, lying, cheating on taxes, thievery, stealing, hate, warring, rumors of wars, gossipping, adultery, greediness (gamblers, etc.), reviling, haughtiness and puffed up with pride, drunkeness, robbing, pillaging, scamming, homosexuality----all these things are worldly, demonic behaviors.

True Christians, Witnesses, tend to shy away from these evils in life. Witnesses know that in due time God will set all matters straight and soon the all the wicked ones will be removed from the earth permanently.

I was raised as a witness and due to circumstances had drifted away for many years. But it was always deeply in my heart and I always knew it to be the truth. Now at 30, I have realized how much God has gotten me through in my life, especially in this past year, and I have begun to study with a baptized witness. I know in my heart this is the "truth".

I am starting to find you witnesses a curious, almost paranoid lot. I have never seen a Who is a Methodist, or who is a Jew question, but you guys are very odd sometimes.

Do you mean who here is one? Or what is a Jehovahs Witness? Jehovah's witnesses are christians. They believe in Jesus as the son of God, and Jehovah is God's name. They preach from door to door as Jesus & his disciples did.

But you may be opening up a can of worms here, because many people "claim" to be informed about who witnesses are but do not actually know what they believe. I however do. Most of them are very honest & hardworking people. And they do a lot of volunteer work for the community.

Added note ** Jehovah is the ACTUAL name of God. In Hebrew "Yahweh". It's in the bible over 7,000 times and in ancient archeological finds. The oldest Hebrew manuscripts present the name in the form of four consonants, commonly called the tetragrammaton YHWH. These four letters read from left to right are transliterated into English as YHWH or JHWH. Adding vowel points, Jehovah or Yahweh to pronounce. It's in many bible translations as well. Almost every translation will carry it in Ps 83:18. It used to be viewed as too sacred to pronounce by early Jews. It's inscribed on ancient coins. So it's NOT something that Jehovahs Witnesses have made up, that doesn't make sense. Ps 83:18; "That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth".

Please don't turn this into a debate about what JW's believe. Because JW's strive to study and understand the bible, not make up things.

Also ~ PLEASE IGNORE all websites dedicated to the slander and untruth about Jehovah's Witnesses. It is sad that some actually dedicate their lives to tear down people who are trying to serve God.
