If it was found with it's complete contents - the stone tablets written by the hand of God, the jar of manna and Aaron's rod.
What impact would it have on Atheists, Theists, Christians or Jews today?

Hebrews 9

Jesus is the present day version of the Tabernacle, with all its contents. And anyone who repents receives the infilling of His Holy Spirit, with Him indwelling as the Ark of Covenant at the seat of our soul. As we repent, we sincerely apply our sins to the spotless Lamb, that which is Christ, and lift up our offering to the Lord. With the Jesus as the blood sacrifice, there is guaranteed remission of our sins (God has never waivered on this Law, from OT to NT). And we cannot possibly enter the Tabernacle without application of His Blood. We wash ourselves clean of our sins at the lever before we enter the Holy Room. It is then we are infilled with His Holy Spirit, of which we light the lampstand with its pure oil showing the Shewbread on top of a sturdy table. We light the incense of praise and worship, an aroma sweet and pleasing to the Lord. Then we are allowed to enter His Throne Room, without blemish, under the blood of Jesus, and get an opportunity to view His Mercy Seat where underneath lies the stone tablets, the jar of manna, and Aaron's Rod. And once in His Presence, we become living epistles of Christ with the Law written in our hearts (stone tablets of 10 commandments through Word of God), rebirth as a new creature in Christ with Him as Bread of Life (golden jar of manna), and the disclipine and correction of conviction to lead us to live holy lives (Aaron's rod).

If everyone had this revelation, how would they all respond to Jesus? "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God." -- Romans 14:11

I think it will not be found, just as Moses body was hidden. God does not want man to create another shrine or cult. Of one denomination represented on this page, one thinks the Ark is hidden away by some special monks who can keep such a thing concealed, and the other calls it a myth. We will see the Ark if we make it to Heaven. If God does allow it to be found, good luck analyzing the Manna! It belongs to the Jews, and as mentioned, can only be touched by the Levites. Some are never going to believe and will mock any artifact related to Judeo-Christian beliefs. No wonder the world is skeptical since they are still selling "slivers from the cross" of Christ's Crucifixion.

MINIMAL!! Do you think the Ark is a greater token than the resurrection of Christ?

The Israelites had the Ark for 40yrs (am I right?)! There were 603550 of men (above the age of twenty, excluding the Levites; Num 1&2) who came out of Egypt. They were the Church in the wilderness (Acts 7:38) but yet, many perished in unbelief (Ps 95, 105, 106, Heb 3 & 4)!!! They were called of God, called as the people of God but yet VAST MAJORITY OF THEM ARE NOT SAVED!! Their carcasses fell in the wilderness because God swore in His wrath, that they will not enter into His (eternal) rest because of unbelief! Does it bring fear and trembling to see so many many are called, and only two (ie Joshua and Caleb) chosen from the first generation entered the Promised Land!!??? Alas indeed, many are called, and few chosen!

THIS IS THE STRAIT GATE NARROW WAY GOSPEL

So too, IF ANY care to examine John 6 diligently. Thousands came to Jesus, but as the going gets tough; in the end only twelve were left (John 6:66), and one had the devil.

MAJORITY OF THE PROFESSING CHRISTIANS WHO READ THIS WILL PERISH (Matt 7:21-23, Rev 3:17-19)

Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

GOOD QUESTION!!

I'm a Christian.

What an amazing find that would be... Historically, archaeologically - just amazing.

However, I doubt it would have any real impact on the views of religion. Unbelievers won't suddenly start believing because someone found a couple of stone tablets and some funky old bread (I imagine that would be the kind of thing they would say). Those who refuse to believe are not going to change their beliefs based on "man's made-up evidence of a made-up god".

Believers will think the same thing we always think - "Wow, how cool! I would love to see that..."

:-D

None, it might reassure some people's faith but miracles and divine inspirations (like the ark) do not create faith.

One has to have faith in them in the first place to accept them for what they believe them to be. In other words, a Christian might accept the ark as the very worldly throne of God for the Israelites during the reign of Moses and the Kings of Israel, but a Hindu would think it nothing more than a fancy box made by an ancient civilization.

I am a follower of Christ.

I am a catholic, and if it was found there would be a profound change in the world today,BUT! the ark of the covenant is simply a mythical story and it will never be found, in fact there are several countries that all say they have it but can't or wont prove it, do you think for one minut that who ever has the stone tablets that they would be kept secret, I can tell you not a chance in hell that would happen.

(Non-denominational Christian - still searching)

What impact would it have? I don't think it would be as great as many would hope. It would be treated as any other artifact, examined and disputed, revered and condemned, accused of fraud and celebrated, all at the same time.

Those without faith won't suddenly get it because something from a faith suddenly proved to be true.

It would be a nice archaeological find! But I don't think you can prove the origin of the objects inside...other than their significants symbolically, it should not change much or anything in our current life.

I am Catholic, and i think it would be dismissed as not the true ark, or maybe the ark has been destroyed over the thousands of years. (or maybe the government has it in a warehouse in a box)
