i just bought a ps3 and im having trouble opening the disk trey .
everytime i do it makes a beeping sound and wont answer.
am i doing something wrong? help would be appreciated.thank you

It is not a tray, it is a slot. You just insert a disk into the slot. If you are pressing the eject button and there is no disk in it, it will beep.

The Playstation 3 doesn't use a cheap disk tray, it's like most car CD players where it sucks up the disk once you insert the disc in a little bit.
When you press the eject button and when the console beeps, that means that there is no disk in the PS3. Also, when a blue light is lit beside the green power light, it means that there is a disk in the PS3.

OK first of all, its a Game slot for PS1,2 and 3 games and two the beeping only does that if there is no disk in the slot or you just turn it on and the third is something i am experienced with i have a PS3 and my cousin do too. you can connect your PS3 to the computer by first, connecting the PS3 to a portable mini tv so you know what your doing (i'll let you do the connecting from the tv to the PS3 on your own lol) then, you connect the adaptor that is supposed to come with the PS3 set from the PS3 to the Computer. once you do that, you can download free demos, videos, pictures, etc.
