First, there is no diagnosis, IAW the International Headache Society Standards called an environmental migraine. When health care providers use terms like this, they are in a way brushing you off. It is kind of like saying, I can't help the weather.
There are essentially 2 main groupings of migraines, and several migraine varients under those 2.
Environmental factors, are considered to be common migraine triggers. If you understand the patterns which trigger your migraines, you can follow the weather patterns and treat your migraines before they are severe making treatment easier. Understan that even if you control the environmental factors, you may also have other triggers. Most migraineurs have more than one trigger. If you have more than 2 migraines a month, you should be considered for migraine prophylaxsis (preventive therapy).
There are numerous medications which can be used to prevent migraines, and you need to be seen by someone who can work you up and try these preveentive therapies on you.
Ask for a referral to a neurologist or a headache specialist/clinic/center.
Many health care providers do not diagnose headaches well. In a study performed among health care provider trained in headache management 10 years ago, only 60 % could get the diagnosis on the first attempt. There are now concerted efforts being made to educate the health care am about headaches and the proper treatment.

My migraines were caused by hormonal problems, so I can't really relate to the types of migraines that you are suffering from. But my migraines were very severe and I got 3 to 5 a month. Mine settled in over my right eye and right side of my head, sometimes going into my neck. I would get nauseaous, had problems with light and smells. Imitrex did not work for me either. I tried several others and finally found a drug called Frova, that worked very well for me.
I have heard that the anti-seizure medication Topamax (sp?) taken on a daily basis helps with constant migraines. Maybe talk with your doctor about this.

I have had migraines for 3 years and I am 21 years old. I am prescribed Maxalt and it's amazing. I have the tablets that you let melt in your mouth. Within ten minutes of taking one my migraine is gone and I don't feel any side effects, like sleepiness, therefore I can still go about my day.

I live in Missoula. I have migraines which are made worse by changes in the barometric pressure. I have tried lots of things, medicines and treatments. I have found an acupuncturist who has helped me.
My headaches are not gone, but much lessened and improved. Do you take any supplements? Magnesium, riboflavin and
Coenzyme Q10 are all helpful to prevent migraine.
Here's a book that is highly recommended for migraine:

I hope you find what works for you soon. We all have to live with weather. Migraines are something we whouldn't have to live with.

I used to live in NYC and had migraines since high school...they were awful...would last four + days...the upset stomach...bright light sensitivity...the works...I tried everything...and at one time there was this great med over the counter...then I started getting them more often...my body liked the drug and caused me to get more headaches...so I threw the pills away...then one friend told me about GREEN TEA...she told me that it would make them go away...and yep I didn't believe her...but she came at the onset of a really bad one and I had the green tea...sure enough it was gone in fifteen minutes...been on green tea ever since and have NOT had another...I later moved from the east coast...still drink the tea but have not had another since the green tea started...so try it you might like it......good luck

The coldness energy of your body is excessive.
The atmospheric cold adds to it.
Coldness energy is responsible for pain. Hence the H/A.
Warmth reduces this coldness and your pain disappears.
Cover the head and fore head and ears with a warm cloth, your problem will be minimised.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
For forehead pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.
It may disappear naturally too.

Try taking either Motrin/ Ibuprofren or the Imitrex with something like coffee or hot tea. This will dilate the vessels and relieve the pressure.
