I did the allergy shots because I was deathly allergic to cats, dogs, and dust. It worked perfectly. I can be around those things now without any problems. I recommend it for anyone who struggles with allergies.

I used to be on allergy shots. They helped me a lot. My series of shots lasted nine years. It has been six years since I stopped the shots and I still have the benefits.

I get them and they work great...my only issue is that I had a reaction last time to something...don't even know if it was the shot!
I go back to get it injected, and then I'm going to be under some survalence for a while. But what I may have is VERY uncommon from what I understand, and as I said, it probably wasn't the shot,. I prbably accidently had something with nut in it.

I took them about ten years ago, and they worked great for me!
My daughter started them a couple of years ago, but every time we got to a certain level, she had a severe reaction and ended up in an asthma flare. We started over a few times, but when we got to that certain level, each flare got worse. Finally, we stopped the shots.
Her allergies/asthma have worsened over these past two years. She started xolair injections this week. She will receive two injections every four weeks for several years. Xolair is VERY expensive, but as it builds in the body, it works to block the body's histimine response to allergens. The National Chronic Disease Fund is awesome about providing assistance in significant cases! All you have to do is agree to allow them to follow your case to document effectiveness of treatment.
Drs plan to do a "rush" treatment on allergy shots next June. They hope that by starting in this way AFTER having her on xolair for quite some time, the shots will be effective.
