I am 20 years old and applying to college so I have no time to work out as I used to. I need to lose about 31 pounds, but I want to know how much can I lose by eating only fruit and vegetables (including1 banana a day) and dinner in the evening- I cant get out of it,at the end of 46 days? I have to mention that during weekends I have to eat twice a day, apart from fruit and vegetables.

all you are gona do is screw up your metabolism and when you do something so stupid as this you dont know how your body is gona react - you might end up gaining weight.
to lose fat you have to create just a slight deficit in daily caloric intake (not a big one) and do cardio 4-6 times a week for average of 45min

Since you said you don't have time to exercise, some of these answers are just plain irrelevant. I don't know why some people resort to name-calling when a serious question is asked. You did ask a very good question, and I'll try to give a helpful answer.

With just a few exceptions, fruits and vegetables are great foods for a weight loss diet. The exceptions are the concentrated high-calorie dried fruits like raisins, figs and dates, and those high-fat avocados.

Some good choices for weight loss, with less than 100 calories per 100 grams, include:
15 calories/100 grams - cucumbers
18 calories/100 grams - tomatoes
21 calories/100 grams - zucchini
30 calories/100 grams - watermelon
31 calories/100 grams - red bell peppers
32 calories/100 grams - grapefruit
32 calories/100 grams - strawberries
34 calories/100 grams - cantaloupes
36 calories/100 grams - honeydew melons
39 calories/100 grams - peaches
43 calories/100 grams - blackberries
44 calories/100 grams - nectarines
46 calories/100 grams - plums
47 calories/100 grams - oranges
48 calories/100 grams - apricots
52 calories/100 grams - apples

Fruits are loaded with good healthful stuff, including water, fiber, vitamins C and A, potassium, and many, many other nutrients. Go for it! You'll be doing something very good for your health.
