They die.
I don't believe in Heaven or Hell. However, I will say that I can not see a "loving father" punishing someone who commits suicide by condemning them to Hell.
"It is a crime.... punishable by Hell"
written by none other than God is Love.
Now that is irony at it's finest.

That is a deep spiritual question. Many have tried to answer. While conventional wisdom would tell you "hell",you need to ask yourself if you even believe in hell.
This is a personal journey...many people feel mentally ill people who commit suicide are not considered "culpable" for their actions.
First and foremost, if you are considering suicide, please seek help immediately. The suicide hot line is 1-800-SUICIDE.
For more on the right to commit suicide, please see www.suicide.com
In the end, only YOU know the answer to this for you. If a loved one has passed in this manner, ask yourself, would you God welcome a hurting soul into His/Her arms? Or punish a desperate act?
Blessed be

THE tragic news of a suicide does not close a chapter in the lives of relatives and friends; it opens one—a chapter of mixed feelings of pity and anger, sorrow and guilt. And it raises the question: May we entertain any hope for our friend who took his or her life?
Although self-inflicted death is never justified, never righteous, the apostle Paul did hold out a beautiful hope for even some unrighteous ones. As he told a Roman court of law: “I have hope toward God . . . that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”—Acts 24:15.
and the unrighteous.”—Acts 24:15
“He who has died has been acquitted from his sin,” and “the wages sin pays is death.” Although his past sins will not be accounted to him, he will still need the ransom to lift him to perfection.
Stunned friends of a suicide victim may thus take comfort in knowing that “Jehovah has shown mercy to those fearing him. For he himself well knows the formation of us, remembering that we are dust.” (Psalm 103:10-14) Only God can fully understand the role of mental sickness,

Try to get a documentary movie called "Beyond and Back. The movie is about people who have died and come back from death. They talk about their experience and what they sought. But I tell you those who kill themselves their spirits will not be at peace.

God does not want us (obviously) to commit suicide. The commandment Thou shalt not kill literally translates out to Thou shalt not murder. Other than that, suicide is not addressed in the Bible and I personally believe that the person that believes in God and does this will be forgiven. Just my opinion.

I think it depends on where their belief in God is and if they know Jesus. This one only God can judge, as people that commit suicide are mentally ill. This is just what I think.

Whether one commits suicide, is killed in a car wreck, dies on the battlefield matters not . Heaven is not gained or lost based upon how one dies, but on what you do with God.
