I got three pets already, but now I want another one.
I got one gerbil, one dog and one fish.
But now I badly want another pet!

That would be a german shepard dog.
I really want it badly.
So I ask my dad and mom if I can have one.

They say "No, your not going to get another pet!"
Anything I can try to do to get my mom and dad in the thinking about it thing?

Chirstmas is coming up, so my dad or mom might get me one.

German Shepards are a dog that requires good Obedience training and a strong handler.

They are a large dog and I would understand your parents reluctance, since it will take a big committment from them too, and unless they are enthusiastic it might be better to respect their decision.

Perhaps you could visit the Dog Shows where German Shepards are being exhibited, you could talk to the handlers, some people do this professionally for the breeders, and discuss with them everything about managing the breed.

So many dogs bought as Xmas presents end up in shelters, parent bow to pressure from kids, other people get them in a rush without thinking of the next 10 - 15 years committment to housing, training and just living with a dog.

You don't say how old you are nor if you have any siblings. If they are younger than you, this might cause your parents concern. Why do you want a German Shepherd? I have had 2 in the past & now have a Shepherd/Lab mix. And they do need plenty of exercise. Being of a "pack" family, dogs will try to establish dominance over other animals. With you having another dog, this also might be concern for your parents. Good luck!

First learn how to spell the breeds name you want. You really need to study this breed. this is a VERY "hyper" dog, it is a herder and needs TONS (Im talking hours) of excersise everyday.

German shepHERD.
