Yes, Look at all the cults out here. They have brain washed many people over the years. There is also religions out there that have forced people to believe. There are countries over in the middle east who teach the kids that what they believe, and that is forced upon them. So I say Yes.

It has been done. It's called brainwashing. Remember Patti Hearst? Stockholm Syndrome? I would venture to say that it has been proven that at least some people can be forced to believe certain things. I don't believe that all people are susceptible to brain washing, in the same way that not everyone can be hypnotized.God bless!!

No, It is not possible. People will believe what they want no matter what they say or how they act. Belief is in the Heart of a person, and only God can see into ones true Heart.

It is if you use excruciating mental torture. But at that point your brain is kinda fried anyway.

Ever read the book 1984? The main character is a free thinker living in a society where thought is literally a crime. He ends up honestly believing two plus two equals five. When they're finished with him, that is.

Why would you want to force someone to believe anything? If they did, it would be because you forced them, not because they believed it on their own.

Not if they already have a contradicting independent opinion. I may believe the sky is bright green, but there is no way Ican make anyone else believe it. I can force them to say they do, but thats not the same thing.
Indoctrination of children is slightly different, as they have a trust in the words of their parents and have yet to form their own independent worldview. Easily programmed, unfortunately...

No one can be forced to believe in Jesus. We are to be an example of Him, but the Holy Spirit has to open their spiritual eyes.

No, you may make some one afraid enough they will agree with you but one can not force someone to believe anything that they don't.

You can't force them to believe as you do...you can FORCE them to SAY they believe as you do.
