"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
I get support from this verse when I am in despair, which is where you are right now. Of course God wants you to be happy, but you are praying for what you want, not to understand what God wants for you. I love Oprah's comment that "God has so much more for you than you could ever dream for yourself." I hope you can take some comfort and learn whatever lesson there is for you in this situation. Blessings!

First off I would never say the "pat" answers that you listed in the end. We are called to comfort people as Christians not be miserable comforters there is a difference see Job 16:1-3.
God gives and takes away Job 1:21 but that does not mean God does not love you anymore. The Lord may be opening new and better doors for you.
Lets talk about this friend your parents are leery of and don't trust does this friend have a history of drug use, alcohol, bad behavior or gossips and lies? Did you take your parents aside and ask them about thier concerns?
You are speical regardless if you lose your friend or cant play sports see Psalm 139 how much God truly loves and treasures you.
There are things I could not have in my life and it really hurt me but I have come to accept that life can be hard and does not go our way.
Write a list of your talents and abilitys other than sports see what areas you can help bless others and enjoy yourself.
Volunteering (which I do) is a wonderful way to give back and even throgh it is not a paid postiion the blessings are so rewarding and it keeps the focus off my aches and pains and I am being constructive.
I noticed you also have good writing skills and express yourself well and you are caring and compassionate. Have you ever thought about writing letters to people and also cards who need to be encourage or that are not in good health? I love do to this one it takes the focus off me and I am planting seeds of joy in others life and in the impersonal world of e-mail and cyber space it is always wonderful to get a card or letter to bless others.
As for you with the hurt you are feeling of losing all you care about God has a plan for your life and God sometimes takes away things to allow something better to come along or to teach us patience and trust.
Pour out your heart to God in prayer just like you posted and be honest with God He will direct your paths be encouraged and thank you for your honesty and willingness to share tonight. e4g

Well. Honestly things like sports can't truely make someone happy. Its just a thing and maybe that person that makes you happy your parents probably aren't letting you see that person for a good reason. God wouldn't let it happen if it is harmful to you. It sounds like your just testing god out to see if its true to see if it actually works. You can't do that. It says in the bible you can't just test prayer out and see if it works. you have to truely believe. God is putting you through this stuff because he knows you can make it through. But yeah.
oh and when you pray your prayers will get answered, but i'm not saying its the answer you want to hear. Sometimes i look back at some of my prayers and I realized they have been answered i just didn't notice at the time.

God may have bigger plans for you than you have for yourself. Everything happens for a reason. He does want you to be happy. Use this opportunity to get closer to Him. Pray for understanding and a greatful heart. You will find that there is much happiness around you if you only open your eyes and look there are countless blessings to be found.
Be blessed!

sorry I don''t have the answers that you are looking for, but I would like to ask, why God is the reason that you are living with your parent?
or was it God that caused your accident?
but this I do know you will always be special in the eyes of God.
and if you were to stop concentrating on what you have lost, and start looking for things to make you happy, you will find there are many thing out there that will bring you joy, and happiness.

Happy is dictated by the circumstances we are given. What we need is the Joy of the Lord. God wants to have a relationship with us that will never grow old. If you think that God is a vending machine that only dispenses our happiness, then you have a shallow conception of Who our Lord is and what we get from Him.

I don't know where to begin. Your profile is so damned private that I can't tell if you are Christian or not. You talk about God, but I have no idea if you have made peace with Him.
So if you are praying to God and you don't have peace with Him through Jesus Christ, that's what you need to do first.
I would go on, but everything hinges on that.

Sometimes when we love other things more than God,
or we put them before HIM, HE will take them from us.
Try to prioritize (God first) and you may
find God giving them back to you, maybe even better
than before HE took them.
God Bless You.
