I used to always travel by train. but there have been so many changes, I do not want to look like a tourist. Can you give me a heads up? I will arrive by mid noon, and I will depart in the afternoon.

There has never been train service to/from LaGuardia.

You can take the M60 bus to Manhattan. It runs along 125th St. You can pick up lines to the Bronx at the appropriate avenue.

Lexington Avenue, #4, 5, and 6 subway lines
Lenox Avenue # 2 subway line
St. Nicholas Avenue A, B and D subway lines
The #1 subway line can be picked up at 116th St/Broadway rather than 125th St Broadway (the bus route leaves 125th St at Amsterdam Av).

The only way I can think is to grab a cab to the 7 train on Roosevelt Av. to Manhattan and read the map for your destination in the Bronx.

I'm not absolutley sure, but my daughter, who lives in NYC told me you have to taxi from LaGuardia. No subway out to it.
