i believe canadian snipers are the very best after all they hold the longest kill in history at 1.51 miles in afganistan. i want to see what you guys think. there scout sniper school also is pretty awsome

you ever heard of marine gunnery sergeant carlos hathcock and his 93 confirmed kills in vietnam? ho chi minh put a million dollar bounty on his head and sent the very best sniper south to take him out, but, the sarge and his weatherby 9 mm took out the north viet at a much longer range with a reload round and rilled the bullet through the scope of the rifle

Whats so special about this.
In WWII the British Army thought it normal to snipe at ranges of 1km with a .303 Lee-Enfield rifle. A weapon that dates from the 19th century, and often without telescopic sights.
With a century of progress 1.51 km is not a great leap forward.

Russians can probably match that range. They have an awesome 20 mm sniper rifle specially designed for distances over 1 km.

So, because of one superb kill by a 2 man team, using special .50 Browning ammo you think thats all that justifies the entire group as the best?

It was a canadian sniper detachment in Afghanistan that holds the world-record killing shot at 2,430 meters.
Does it make them the best? Dunno, but thats one hell of a shot. I would love to see that same team, British SAS and U.S. sniper teams compete in a friendly competition.

Canada has broken a lot of records lately, operating in Afghanistan.
But they had to have US ammo to do it. :)

USMC Scout Snipers FTW... I'm an Air Force kid but i gotta give it up to the Corp and their snipers.
We could kick Canada's *** in sniping.
