if a group of 5 robbers rob a bank, and the cops only catch one of the robbers, do you think with the one robber they caught they can catch the rest?

like would the judge or cops make the robber talk and tell them where the others are or give them information about them?

They only talk tough until they get caught. Once he finds out what he's facing, he'll turn in the rest, in hopes of a reduced sentence.

There is less reliability in personal accounts from criminals these days. Forensic sciences have advanced so much that a signed confession is often not enough to ensure conviction. Criminals are notoriously unreliable as witnesses and are easily manipulated by circumstances that it is much more likely that forensic's will provide irrefutable proof of a persons guilt and provide less of a bargaining position for a gang member.
However having said that sometimes information obtained from a co-operating criminal can provide fresh impetus and new direction for Police to conjur with.

This depends on a number of factors...for example... who does the caught criminal fear more - the prosecutors or his accomplices... this is why the mafia killed those who grass them up...those who got caught knew that if they talked they would send someone for them - even in prison... so they would never grass up their mates.... if the caught criminal does not fear his accomplices it could be easy to extract information... through a combination of bribery, blackmail and bargaining... e.g. they tell him that if he doesn't talk he will take full responsibility and serve a long sentence but if he gives them info on the others he will get a reduced sentence or even be released if his role was minor... it depends on loyalty, fear, the seriousness of the offense and the specific circumtances

Nobody can "make" anyone talk if they do not want to. They may make him want to talk by offering a plea deal or something else. Most likely, the police will simply see who his running buddys are, who he was arrested with before, who he hangs with etc etc. Eventually they will find someone who will dime out his fellow criminals either for money or for revenge. Their is no honor among thieves and most would give up their own mother for a small reward.
Criminals also LOVE to talk. Sooner or later they will tell someone or start spending the money and someone with a beef will rat them out. Its very rare that one person will take the rap for all his friends, especially when he realizes they got his share and he is sitting in jail. He'll sing soon enough.

They could offer him a reduced charge or sentence for cooperating.

However, the things that led them to catch the first one will also likely lead them to catch the others even without the help of the arrested one.

The robber that was caught could be converted into a state witness in order to point the other felons or lead to their apprehension.

Sure, they'd try.

They'd probably offer the guy they caught less jail time and things like that.

They couldn't punish him more for not giving them information though.

Probably, with enough information or if the caught one cracks... But you can't get blood out of a stone...

Yes. You're only as strong as your weakest link. And often they don't even need a suspect to suss you out.

Deny it all.
Go not guilty.
Get an alibi or 5.
