Once a month. But should groom the dogs coat (brush) every day or at least every other day to distrubute natural oils from the skin throughout the coat.

Once a month is what most people will say. Others two to three weeks. But if your dog loves water like my English Springer Spaniel did, (may he rest in peace). He would get into the shower daily. Now just because he is in the water does not mean you have to use shampoo or any type of soap. He may just enjoy the water beating on his back and head.

If you can, you should try to bathe your puppy once a month. Too much shampooing can strip the oil from a dog's skin and cause dryness and itching. If you think your puppy needs more frequent bathing, make sure you use an all natural shampoo that does not contain detergents and harsh chemicals and try to put at least 10 days between baths. Not more than once a month. If you bath your puppy too much, you're drying out the skin and coat really badly. You can add some veg. or olive oil, or ideally, a salmon oil capsule, to your puppy's food daily. They make a tremendous difference in skin and coat.

Once a month is plenty, but brush him a lot. :) This will help keep him clean as well.
