Before Jesus it was an eye for an eye. Now we live in the age of grace. It's not a question of should, but a command from God. It's a must to forgive others as God forgives us. That's the flip side of salvation.
I make no claims to it being easy. Human emotion always seems to get in the way. The most astonishing display of forgiveness I've heard of is the family of a South Korean teen who was murdered in New York City. Not only did these people forgive the murderer, they raised money for his defense and eventual rehabilitation. That's magnanimous forgiveness in lockstep with God.

Yes. A christian should forgive everything.
The person who did the wrong will get their punishment when they have to face god.
A christian is suspose to be like god.
God forgives anybody for anything as long as they ask and mean it.
I agree that its hard to forgive its just something you just have to learn.
I know this husband who came home and his wife and son were murdered. The guy decided before he even knew who the murder was he would forgive them and the person that killed them turned out to be his other son and he still forgave him.
So it is possible.

Yes. Unless you want to carry around a ball and chain for things that happen in this world. I would pray for the 9 year old girls family and know the child is in a better place right now, in loving arms. You pray for the sick men and women who act out these acts of hate.

Christians are supposed to forgive people and love everyone. It can be hard to actually do that and honestly forgive them, but it doesn't mean that he should just go free.

We can forgive them, but they must pay for the crimes they committed according to the law of the land. I believe that the death penalty sounds about right.

Yes...here is an example...
Deborah Niyakabirika's story is chronicled in a World Vision Australia video. Her son was murdered in an act of vengeance, three years after the genocide in Rwanda. A few months after the murder, the young man responsible visited Deborah. He confessed to the crime and said, “Take me to the authorities and let them deal with me as they will. I have not slept since I shot him. Every time I lie down I see you praying, and I know you are praying for me.” Deborah answered, “You are no longer an animal but a man taking responsibility for your actions. I do not want to add death to death.” Then she went a step further. “But I want you to restore justice by replacing the son you killed,” she said. “I am asking you to become my son. When you visit me, I will care for you.” Today, he is an adopted member of her household.
That is the mercy of Christ flowing through one who has received mercy from Christ.

God's forgiveness of his enemies is contingent upon their repentance. In fact this is the case between Christians, as it is written, "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him." Luke 17:3
