Do you find it interesting to read how many interpertations there are of the Holy Bible. If I asked a question regarding a scripture I would likely recieved many different answers. I believe in God, but I don't believe he sat down and wrote the bible, that I believe was man and what man believed and in time has place in the bible what he interpeted God to want or what he as man believed as right or wrong. Honestly if it were the word of God wouldn't it be pretty self explanitory and not have so many interpetations? Do you find that interesting?

Sometimes people try to take a scripture out of context and try to make it mean what they want it to mean and so what they say may sometimes not be accurate.

Sometimes different answers to a given scripture interperetation does not mean any one is wrong. Sometimes they can complement one another.

Scripture can have many different levels of truth. It has a surface meaning, and then deeper meanings. I know that for myself, when i was a rather new christian... I understood scripture differently than I do now. For instance, when it says to fear the Lord, I thought it meant FEAR. I didn't know that it meant reverence and trust... when the Holy Spirit began teaching me more and when I began to understand a little of the greek and Hebrew, this also helped me to make more sense of things.

However, I do not think there should be so many versions of the bible. It doesn't make it any easier to bridge the language and meaning gap... at least not for me.

it's a known fact that god did not write the bible and that it was written by man. supposedly with the words from god but, lets face it, each man remembers things in his own way with his own interpretations. it only figures that each of us who read it will interpret it our own way. it's a very subjective book.

Jesus spoke in parables so only believers would understand.
