I love how Christians can justify the deaths of so many people, weather good or bad.
I am wondering from some of the posts i see.. if god is all powerful, wise, and knows what is going to happen before it does, they why could he not find a non-violent answer? Also, if we all know that killing everyone only made people withdraw from "god" then wouldn't "god" have know that before he did anything?

If you really want to know about the"gods" of the bible and why one was so cruel, you need to read the 12th planet or slave species to the gods they are interpretations of the Sumerian writings that they left and tell all about the flood, tower of babel, and the creation of man! They were written thousands of years before the bibles. The first followers of Jesus did not pray to the jewish god, look up gnostics

In the Old Testament Jehovah God had a chosen nation: Israel. They were in a covenant relationship with him. He gave them law which they eagerly accepted and they were set apart from the rest of the nations which did not worship their God. Israel did accept "alien residents" who were to enjoy many of the same privileges.
But the people of the nations often scorned, persecuted and tried to lead God's people away from him- so he had to act.
And in doing so he established himself as a true God- unlike the gods of stone and clay that others worhipped which were incapable of even moving on their own.

Gosh, someone has been picking parts and never bothered to really read the Bible much have you. They destroyed the land, molested his creatures, disregarded ten simple laws he gave to Moshe (Moses). They would not do the simple things that God asked and were not worthy of the land so God wiped them out before they destroyed the world. So God chose the people to keep his laws and today people are doing it again so God is culling off the non-believers one disaster at a time. Fire, flood, earthquakes, hurricanes, Tsunamis, Tornadoes, My what strange weather we're having don't you think.

They were vile people with no regard for others or humanity. They were worse than those of Hitler and Mussolini. What did God make a mistake to stop such vile people. Sounds like God is going to be ridiculed and mocked if He does or does not inter vine.

As far as the bible goes, it describes how the christian god had the power to cause, controll and interviene in such problems. So clearly the chrisitan deity caused it, whether through action or inaction is irrelevant.

Because of their immorality and other gross sins that they would not turn away from. The bodies or skeletons of babies have been found in jars built into the walls of ancient homes, it was that the people were sacrificing their firstborn children to their false gods.

God is a bold God. If God doesn't like something he kills it. If Jesus doesn't like something he judges it. If the Holy spirit doesn't like something he goes away from it. (I'm not sure about you but I cannot live without the Holy Spirit.)

Thank God Hitler was defeated.
"and then God in His own mighty way, caused the German army to fail, and that Hitler should walk his way to destruction."
i believe the people whom God wanted to be killed were as evil and vile as Hitler.
