The psychological term is Papyrophobia - Fear of paper. however your description would not fit the model. Papyrophobia would be an irrational and intense fear of paper of the level that would cause panic and fight or flight symptoms when exposed to paper in any form. You simply feel overwhelmed as do most people in your line of work when they are heavily loaded with work.

Of course there's a phobia for paper and/or paperwork! I have no idea what it's called, but there's a phobia for EVERYTHING. I mean, it IS possible to be afraid of anything. I suggest, however, that you are probably not having a "phobia", which is a serious anxiety disorder and not at all funny. What you have is a hatred of all the paper you shuffle, and this is very common. "File Clerk" is typically an entry-level job, so it's a stepping-stone on the way to something better. It's called "PAYING YOUR DUES". I suggest you try to make it into a game (I have no idea how), and tolerate it, while attending classes or working towards a better job where someone else will handle all the paper. Sorry to say, I doubt anyone who works in an office will feel bad for you - we've all been there, done that. Some of us for a very long time. Sorry to sound harsh, but "TOUGH! I had to pay my dues, so do you. You don't get a free ride. Time to better yourself." Call me if you need help learning something - I AM a teacher (among other things), you know.

Yes, believe it or not, there actually is. It's called papyrophobia (which is the fear of paper). The fear of paperwork could be called paralipophobia (which is the fear of responsibility).
