I have a gas stove and the broiler is in the bottom drawer. I have two settings regular broil and high broil.

My questions are:
For broiling Chicken thighs do I want regular or high?

Do I leave the door to the oven cracked or close it all the way?

Thank you!

Always leave oven doors open when broiling. And NEVER leave them on and walk away.

Thighs are thick, and you'll probably want to "bake" them first, then "Broil" to finish and brown. In which case I'd say choose Regular Broil.

Regular will be fine.

Preheat a large cast iron skillet by placing it on a low flame on the stove for a few minutes. When it’s hot, place the marinated chicken pieces into the skillet, bone side up.

Place the skillet under the broiler and broil the chicken for 10–15 minutes. Remove and check for doneness, and turn the chicken pieces. Then return the pan to the broiler for another 5–10 minutes until it’s cooked. Ours took 20 minutes.

first of all ur broiler tray should have two pices to it the top pices that the meat goes on and a deep tray to collecte the grease so if u want to cook them fast i would say high but u have to check on them often and keep the oven door close but if u want them to be juciy u want to cook them on reg and leave the oven dooe open

thighs are fatty so watch em close so they dont catch on fire. you don't have to leave gas broilers cracked but definitely keep an eye on them
