I know that this question is a bit silly b/c there are many variables such as height, weight, age, athleticism, etc. However, all things being equal, who do you think would win in hand to hand combat between the SEALs, Army Rangers, Marines Force Recon, Delta Force, Army "Green Berets", etc.? Also, please explain your reasoning. Thanks!

SBS, a super-elite branch of the British NAVY, would beat them all, without a doubt. They have the most brutal and exhaustive training regime in the world. Don't let pride and patriotism blind your opinion, it's a fact for real. I'm American by the way. The only agency who comes close is the Israeli Mossad. Those guys are sic!

1961: The SBS primarily gathered intelligence and Trained Other Special Forces (ie: the Americans) during the Vietnam War.

there is no way to tell. ive deployed a few times, and typically while im out there i do a lot of MMA training just to keep myself occupied. ive seen reservists beat the hell out of SF guys and ive seen rangers whoop up on seals and ive seen SEALs get spanked by koreans and so on... its not like any of these forces really focus on hand to hand. you get some training here and there, but really, its like a pilot having a parachute... just a little backup.

it depends on the person.. height weight and strength have nothing to do with it.

the guy i train with weighs about 180, hes around 6'5".. he does a lot of fighting and he got 2nd at the all army combative tournament.

but then ive seen him get beat pretty badly by a guy who was around 5'2" and maybe 140 pounds..

........

its kind of interesting how everyone views SOCOM guys like they are mythical creatures. like rambo or something.

Are we speaking like Shaolin monk ranges of insane training as against the easy eco-friendly Beret, or your undemanding kung fu grasp as against a eco-friendly Beret? the two way I say a kung fu grasp. particular Forces are knowledgeable to combat with weapons, no longer hand reachable. additionally, eco-friendly Berets could have plenty much less prepare than the Kung Fu grasp. greater prepare = greater acceptable probability of prevailing.

The last thing I would want to find out is the answer to your question.

For that would mean that we were fighting against ourselves, and way too many died last time we did that.

Lets just be glad that our special forces are the best in the world and leave it at that.

No weapons force recon would win.
With weapons Delta would win

Your right, there are to many variables. David beat Goliath, remember?? But that doesn't automatically mean that David would win a rematch.

I assume you mean with no weapons...

IN that case I would have to go with the Marines. Marines are the hardest to become and the recon force is the hardest of the Marines. Literally, they are the best of the best.

There would be no winner. Why the heck would we want to fight each other? We serve as brothers, not as combatants.

Okay, in your hypothetical silly question the answer is easy. As in all fights, the promoters are the real winners.

The one who knew how to fight better.

Why people think the Military spends alot of time teaching hand to hand fighting, they must get from movies.

You were right, it is a silly question.
