so everyone says that there is no evidence for jesus or the bible or that any of it is accurate but could you not say that for just about all of ancient history? why is everyone focusing on jesus and christianity? how do we really know that china had many dynasties a long time ago? if people dont believe that jesus existed because everything that was written about him was by his disciples and "crazy" people that claim to talk to this "weird" god and they were all lying could that not be true for all other ancient things? chinese dynasties? ancient wars? things that have no proof other than what people have written down on stone tablets and painted on walls? could they not have been lying? could they not have been "crazy" too? why only question christianity and not everything else?

If people did the research, they will find that there is way more evidence to prove what was written about Jesus then what was attributed to Plato. (I.E)
Jesus=2,400 manuscripts in existence written LESS then 100 years of his death.
Plato= Less then 20 manuscripts written almost 1,000 years after his death.
Yet, no one questions whether Plato actually said the things attributed to him! This world chooses to believe what it wants despite the evidence. I hope this answer helped a little :-)

First of all, "everyone" does not say there is no evidence for Jesus. Lots of historians feel he was most likely a real person.
What you're comparing is not the same, however. There is very little solid evidence of Jesus. There's only four books in the Bible that deal with his life, and its suspected that they all originate from a single source. That means there's only one source supporting Jesus's existence. Even if you count it as four, NONE of them claim to have witnessed much of what they describe. Ergo, it's hearsay. Also, these texts have a particular goal - convince others to follow. There are no texts from outsiders corroberating the stories. Also, those sources are not totally coherent with known history. The order of certain events appears mixed up (its one of the reasons we can't decide for sure when Jesus was even born), such as the reign of herod vs. the Roman census.
When you talk about a Chinese emperor, on the other hand, you generally have multiple sources attesting to his existence. You also often have a grave. You also may have artifacts attesting to the person's existence. And all of that generally makes sense in the larger Chinese timeline. You also generally have evidence of the person from before he was an emperor, which further connects the person to the timeline.

two answers:
first, historians do question everything (eventually)
& because it sells, especially around the holidays people will buy a magazine cover that asks "Was He real??"
even though the same answers are explained just about every year
if you take a good course in history of the Bible you will find out that a lot of what people believe about Jesus isn't even in the Bible anyway
there are only 4 gospels that made it into the actual Bible: several others were thrown out & the 4 do not always agree with each other or say the same things, this doesn't mean that they are "wrong" but just that human observers cannot be present everywhere and don't see things the same way even if they are present

Let's see, shall we? China has a great deal of documentation about the various dynasties. They built cities, fought wars, and wrote tons of things down. All we have about Jesus is one book where the first two chapters disagree. Further, if you actually took the time to compare the events of one gospel with another, you will find dozens of contradictions in the Easter accounts alone, which makes the Bible a suspect source. Find one shred of actual physical evidence. He was a carpenter, yet there are no buildings built by Christ. He had a trial, but there is no court record, and he was convicted at that trial to be crucified (the Romans actually did keep such documents). So, there is a whole country full of evidence for the dynasties of China. I would love to see one tiny house built by Jesus. One scrap of official Roman documentation. But, there isn't any of that, is there?

There is evidence for everything else in this world, so that we know that ancient dynasties existed in China - we have their artefacts, to prove it.
We don't have physical evidence for Jesus, and for much of what the Bible claims.
There are so many unbelievers and unconvinced for the Bible and Jesus, etc - ie. Christianity because we don't have any artefacts at all, to support anything of the Bible and Christianity - the same can be said equally of Judaism and Islam too - for their claims...
There may be evidence for Mohammed having lived, and then treated as a prophet - but we have no evidence for anything he said and claimed.
Otherwise we'll all be muslims by now?
Note - new discoveries are being made of ancient civilisations, etc. Witness the find of Yonaguni - and of an ancient city? sunken off Cuba.

There is proof that Jesus lived. Romans kept very good records. There is even a statement on how much the cross cost. We can never be 100% sure anything in the far past happen. Most of them have more than one soruse. As I said Romans kept good records as did the Greeks abd the Greeks went to other countries to keephistroy there.

You are right. Those who "choose" not to believe do so because they do not want Jesus to be real or the Bible to be true.
All true historians know that the Bible is an authentic and reliable historical document. All agree Jesus was a real person...they do not all agree he was God, but the writings we have more than fulfill the requirements for historical proof.
There also are many artificats that prove things in the Bible. Recently they found the wall that is mentioned in the book of Nehemiah http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58623

It is not that "Everyone" says that there is no evidence for Jesus - many atheists believe that there may have been a man called Jesus.
There is actually some evidence, with roman letters etc written about his executiont etc.
Just because he existed doesn't mean all the things said about him are correct.
Religion is not about evidence or proven facts, it is about faith.

if Confucianists started shoving their views down throats, i'm sure someone would start trying to disprove that Kung Fu-Tze ever existed

There is alot of proof of dynasties and ancient civilizations. There is also alot of scientific proof that proves facts in the bible to be true. I believe in the bible and I love when something in science proves it to be true. This way I can refute non believing scientists with scientific facts.
