just a thought.. but im pretty sure what i did over there in 2003 was a real war. a few good friends are burried to prove it.

what exactly is it when you are shooting at an enemy and they are shooting back?

a remember quite a few very complex attacks happening and i remember guys around me getting shot. i also remember picking up dead bodies and weapons after a firefight...

yea.. veterans of each war have some great knowledge.. but think back... each and ever war was totally different from the one prior. Us vets have a lot of experience, but i bet in about 15 or 20 years it wont be worth much on the battlefield.

why dont you give the vets of today the same respect as the vets of past wars... after all.. we earned it.

Yes, that is why all branches have an IRR(Inactive Ready Reserve). It's made up of all men and women who have recently gotten out of the active duty military military. I'm not sure about other branches, but in the Marine corp you sign an 8 year contract. 4 of those years are active duty and 4 are IRR which means they can call you back whenever they need you in those 4 years after your active service.

No doubt about it , they would need them , and probably use them . Just as other foreign countries did in WW2 and this coming war is going to be a lot worse
