Do you believe the (99.9999%) of scientists from all areas (biology, evolutionary bio, genetics, etc.) who believe in the theory of evolution are lying? Or do you believe that they are just misguided? Do creationists just shrug off science? Whats the reasoning? Just curious.

Sorry, yeah I realize that the majority of Christians do believe in evolution. I guess I should have replaced "christians" with "creationists."

Many of them truly do believe that scientists are lying, simply because they are happy living a life of sin, and won't make public all the supposed mountains of evidence for creationism that they have undoubtedly uncovered in their quest to understand the universe. Of course, I don't believe they are lying. Empirical evidence of evolution stands up mightily against the "pseudoscience" of creationism.

Sorry, I don't have time for the video.

But here are a few points to consider, though:-

1. Peer pressure - what scientist does not believe in evolution? So, if someone does not, he becomes an outcast. But for all of that, there ARE many scientists who do not, and cannot, accept evolution based on the SCIENTIFIC evidence. Historically, it was not so much theologians but scientist who rejected evolution (one species gradually changing to a higher one).

2. As much as they deny it and tries to attach this label to creationists, evolutionists have been brainwashed (also). If you prefer to use the word 'misguided', that is fine with me.

3. History proves that scientists have lied when it came to (macro)evolution. (a) Heckel's drawings of the early embryonic stages WERE fakes, (b) Piltdown man was a fake, (c) Nebraska man WAS based on a single pig's tooth!!!

4. While this may not be lying, it is highly deceptive when scientists insist that macroevolution is true while they know quite well that it is merely an extrapolation of microevolution. Besides, the scientific experiments show that while there may be small changes within a gene pool, there is a boundry that cannot be crossed (fruit flies, sugar beets).

5. Your use of the term "science" in the following, "Do creationists just shrug off science?" is misleading because 'science' is too broad a term. Creationist do use medicines, fertilizers, proton treatment for cancer (invented by creationists, Loma Linda University), computers, selective breeding (microevolution), GPS, etc. But these are experimental science that has been verified. On the other hand, macroevolution is philosophy. It is not supported by the scientific evidence, especially that 'ace' witness: the geologic column. Here are three of the main problems :i) the Cambrian Explosion, ii) the complexity of the trilobite eyes, iii) stasis - species appear suddenly, lived 'million' of years unchanged, then becomes extinct.

I think the idea is that scientists are just misguided in trusting in fake evidence planted all over the universe by God to test them rather than a book he planted in the minds of a couple dozen people in pieces, had recorded in oral histories, then had written down at a later date.

No, I don't believe they are lying. It's just what they believe. It's how they interpret what they see. There is another way of looking at the same evidence. It's called Intelligent Design. The evolutionist act like all we Creationists are a bunch of ignorant dummies. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We just don't want to accept as fact the philosophy of a bunch of ancient Ionian Pagans. Carl Sagan in his book Cosmos identifies that as the origin of the theory of evolution and that that's where Charles Darwin learned it through Erasmus Darwin.

Yes, they do. lol
Not all Christians though, there's a special sect of Christians called creationists that don't accept evolution.

Evolutionists and creationists are both scientists that approach their theories from different perspectives.

Yeah there's really only two options:

The facts necessitate evolution as the logical theory.

OR

Vast scientific conspiracy

Human scientists are just learning what the Scientist that created us knew for billions of years. The problem with human scientists is that they have become too arrogant to acknowledge that God knows more than they will ever know.

There is a correlation between lack of education and religiosity. For many people it is easier to grasp the simple idea of a creator than grasp the theory of evolution and cosmology etc.
