Marzipan is pureed almonds. I use it all the time in baking but it is generally on the inside of whatever I am baking, like between two layers of cookies, inside croissant rolls with jam also baked inside, Norwegian Prince's Cake (has a criss-cross crust over the marzipan and a bottom crust). There is an absolutely wonderful Danish bakery in Bothell, Washington that uses Marizpan as it's filling in most of it's baked goods. They even sell at Christmas "rings" that are either round like wreaths or they shape them into whatever initial you want, glaze them and place candied fruit on them. The filling inside of those are marzipan. They always sell out.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://biturl.im/aU7aE
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

stollen, the german/austrian sweet bread with raisins and cherries also contains marzipan and that is baked, however the bread is not eaten hot but when it cools the marzipan is still there, obviously its not cooked for 3 hours, but it doesnt disappear.

It is very good in baked goods.
One recipe I found was a basic orange cake with some marzipan mixed into the dough !
Yummy !
It also is used in Almond Tarte ....which has
a sweet bottom crust (only ) which is brushed with raspberry jam, filled with marzipan mixed with sugar/egg/cream, sprinkled with slivered almonds and baked.....

marzipan is actually almond paste. it has a strong flavour and you can use it to bake but if you are using it for brownies (in place of nuts) then use it sparringly.

NOT A GOOD IDEA! MARZIPAN IS DESIGNED TO BE EATEN AS IS, NOT INSERTED INTO OTHER BAKED GOODS.

Bad idea; it burns (especially if it's on the outside).
