This is a question and answer forum. Christians only have answers like:

"If you have to ask, you haven't let Him into your heart", and

"The answers are there if you're willing to look hard enough", and

"I know of Him because I have faith",

and then there's the ubiquitous "scripture" quote that has no evidential or empirical rationale to it, but is presented as an answer or better - as an absolute.

Well - you should be getting the point. Christians don't hang here too much (or at least the ones that can rationally debate), because it is very, very hard to debate the logical and rational belief in religion. They're "believers" - and that in no way means they have to believe in something that is real.

If I believed in fantasy or mythology I wouldn't come to a Q&A site unless I was a real masochist. Or real stupid.

Atheistic libertarians rule the internet (or at least are greatly disproportionately represented on the internet for some unknown reason). It's as simple as that...

Oh, and also, the internet is worldwide, meaning many countries that are made up largely by atheists participate as well (while, interestingly enough, the most pious countries/areas tend to have less connectivity).

Well, I'm a Christian, Catholic to be exact, and I don't "dominate" anyone. I also don't come here to R&S much anymore, because the arguing and name-throwing is childish. It also goes against what God teaches me and wants from me. I'd guess that a lot of people feel the same way.

I don't think it has anything to do with athiests or Christians. I think it's a "tired of the crap" thing for me.

No, it does not.

Why do you feel as if there should be a lot more Christians on here?
WHY? Do you want more people to mock and ridicule?

Mant Christians just don't take the bait. Many have stopped answering because they got sick of the attacks and the childishness of some atheists.

Two atheist friends of mine have to take breaks because they get so sick of the nastiness of some of their fellow atheists. Two Christian friends left because of the same reason. They got tired of the goading and baiting, name-calling, middle school humor, disrespect, etc.

I do not think that most of the atheists here are typical of those who are NOT here. Most of the atheists I know in real life are truly loving, accepting, and respectful. They do not verbally abuse believers.

They don't tell Christians that they're idiots. They do not mock and ridicule ANYONE.

Why are atheists in the real world so much more respectful and kinder than some of the ones here?

Because it is like having a personality for on-line only. One that has no life positive has to hang out where they can ridicule others so they feel better about their concept of religion and the possibility of authority over their life. Atheist need and rage to be right for the implications of being wrong has great consequences. It also would mean they will have alot of work to do to become self disciplined and putothers before themselves.

On the internet, where information travels very quickly, it is much easier to convey a rational point.

In the real world, entire communities may live without ever being exposed to scientific rationalism.

The only reason I am here is because I am in college and have time. 2 months from now it will be a different story.

Because the majority of Christians are sheeple who blindly follow whatever religion is taught to them or considered the norm. In this case, it's Christianity. This is why so many people claim to be Christians yet know very little about the faith, let alone follow it to the best off their ability. I have nothing against Christians, but only those who go to church in order to fit in.

I'm a Christian. There are plently of us on here, but we don't all scream it from the rooftops. It has nothing to do with technology! It's not like we're Amish
