I used to bake these brownies that my husband likes (it's just a box mix) in a non stick 13 x 9 in pan and they turned out great. The pan was all beat up and old though so I threw it out and got a 13 x 9 in Pyrex glass pan. The last two times I baked brownies in this glass pan they haven't turned out. It's like they aren't done in the middle. I tried baking them longer, but they will burn on top and still don't get done in the middle. Is there a difference in a glass pan and a regular pan? Do I need to adjust the heat or time that I bake them? I've read on the box and it doesn't say anything about a glass pan.

Turn your temperature on your oven down 10 degrees whenever you use a glass pan versus a metal one. It should cook in the same amount of time but not burn the top. The glass pan heats up the mixture faster than the metal pan - at least on the sides.

Cooking in a glass pan verse a medal pan is a big difference. It happens that the glass is blown and has many variations in the glass in which it makes certain parts of the glass could be thicker or thinner it depends on the make of the pan. I tried having a glass pan and after a while the pan actually fell apart in the oven and I had a hard time clearing it out of the oven. I have found that cooking in a medal pan is better but not a dark medal pan because it will actually burn the brownies. If you insist on cooking in a glass pan than lower your tempature and increase your timer. It might help with getting the brownies cooking through. But I would recomend going out to a cooking store and getting a medal pan but not a dark medal pan.

Turning the temperature down 10 to 25 degrees should help it cook more evenly. I would go to a good cooking store and get another metal baking pan. I don't like my glass dishes for baking and use only metal for baking. Glass is good for other things.

I've been looking for ideas for baked pork chops, a lot of the recipes I have seen use soup or something else that makes them "wet" and no one in my house will eat a soggy pork chop :) that being said.. here is a recipe I tried last night and it was a winner with my family. OVEN BAKED CHICKEN OR PORK CHOPS 3 lb. chicken or pork chops 1 c. dry bread crumbs 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. pepper 4 tbsp. butter, melted Combine bread crumbs, cheese, garlic powder and pepper. Dip each piece of chicken in butter, then roll in dry mixture. Place in greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Serves 4. Edit: I just found this recipe on the same site I got mine from yesterday =) pretty interesting, because I never saw a recipe using pork chops and chicken in same dish. OVEN BAKED CHICKEN AND CHOPS 1/2 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 chicken breast 4 pork chops 2 tsp. butter, melted 1 sm. green pepper 1 sm. onion Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper in a bowl. Dip chicken and chops into butter, roll in flour mixture to coat. Arrange in a large ungreased square pan. Add onion and pepper diced. Bake for 55 minutes.

The material that the pan is made of changes how easily the heat is attracted to it.

glass is supossed to be better but in ur case I would just go replace what u had
