I always get bruises that I have no idea where they come from. Sometimes they are small and really dark colored(usually deep purple and blue) and other times i just get a light yellowish green bruise that is a little bigger. Many of them last a really long time.
does this have anything to do with poor circulation or even anemia?

There are all sorts of things that can cause this, but neither poor circulation or anemia are causes. The most common cause is a low platelet count, followed by clotting problems, vitamin deficiencies, and certain types of leukemia. If bruising is the only symptom, the problem is likely due to platelets or other clotting mechanisms. With leukemia, the bruising is accompanied by fatigue, fever, and other flu-like symptoms. A blood test is needed to diagnose the cause.
