I was referring to the first x box system not x box 360 to increase clarity.

the root cause of why it makes it better, because the games can be extended or the system has limits to its usage with newer updated system on the same type. More money on resale because of this. or just what features or built ins that create the more valuable game system???

Original Xbox is obsolete, while PS2 games are still in production (and will be produced till 2009).

well they are probably around the same price now that the new systems are out. but i think you get more fun for your money with the xbox cuz of the online capabilities. also the games on xbox are just more fun in my opinion. I have an xbox and a ps2.(and an N64 but thats a different topic). i play the xbox more than the ps2 becuase i like the games batter. PS2 does have online play but xbox live is much easier and more interactive.

In my opinion, if a kid has any gaming system, it's priceless. The way these things cost today it's ridiculous. I would NEVER pay more than 200 bucks for any system. The games are way too expensive. I didn't have a gaming system as a kid and I think kids waste too much time on them to begin with. My son does have one(when he wants a new game, he goes to a store that will credit his old ones), but he knows that he has to make time for being outside and doing homework and having a social life aside from the techno world.

The xbox 360 is worth more, but the ps2 has a more variety of old games if thats what your into.

Probably the XBox. But don't count the PS/2 out because there are still some great games out there for it.

Xbox...PS2 came out years age so they price has gone down but they just came out with a new xbox so they are more exspencive.....but PS2's might be worth a lot in about 100 years!

ps2. Microsoft left the original x box for dead the second the 360 hit shelves. X Box was better, but it doesn't have any new games, or anything.
