How can i have a good state of mind and let my mind overpower my body. I know there are points where you have to stop but how can i concentrate on something else? I love running, but the longer distances get to me while running.

If you are talking about just training long miles then you need to find creative ways to challenge yourself. Run the same training course and set a goal for the day depending you how good you feel. You could set a goal for the first 4 miles of a 5 mile run that is slower than your average and then set a tough goal for the last mile, or do it every other mile. If you are concentrating on hitting certain times, it helps you to focus on your body more and keeps you interested in what you are doing.
If you are just out there for the leisurely miles then breathe a tune as you run. Relax and pick out different things to look at.
In races, I found it is very true that it is mostly mental. You need to get to the place where you can push your body to more extreme limits without tensing up. Willing your mind to relax while maintaining a competitive mind set is key.

This is the hardest part of long distance running, it takes a lot of work to find something that works for you. Some people use headphones, others don't.

Good luck in finding this - I just break the run down into miles, and focus on my pace the whole way through.

Running is more mental than physical. It is a good idea to visualize the race before you begin.

During the race focus on someone ahead of you and when you catch them then pick out another.
Run the race in small pieces, run to the next turn or the top of the next hill.

Relax, keep your pace, don't start too fast and then slow down.

AND, he used his "Commander of the Arkansas national preserve" function as the two distant places coverage and militia adventure. It made NO distinction they had never completed something different than frequent 2-week annual and frequent month-to-month preserve accountability. He did no longer ought to DO something in the process his time as Governor because of the fact the preserve had never been pronounced as up for something. The function of Governors in coordinating with the Departments of place of delivery protection and protection, as Governor Palin does, exchange into no longer all started till AFTER the national protection realignments following 9/11. it is adventure in national protection, protection, and administration that neither Obama nor Biden has ever had.

sing to yourself..in your head if you can't breathe well.Or recite lines to your favorite movie.I just take the Mp3 player-it's perfect to keep you from getting too blah-after a few miles.I'm glad you like to run...I do too.I don't know anyone else who does.
