Right now, my sinus feels pressured, I have a stuffy nose, and my throat feels sore. It only started today. I know that eating medicine is probably the best way, but I still want to know...

Soup and a lot of beverages especially Gatorade or Pedialite. No milk products because it thickens the phlegm and its bad. I find spicy foods to help a lot because it clears my nostrils and makes you sweat and I don't know but I think it works. If your throat is sore, cold things can be soothing, but no milk. Try fruit pops. Also orange juice is good. Hope you feel better!

You are right about the chicken soup and Taylor is about the milk. Many dairy products can do this. Chocolate isn't good either. Most things creamy like may cause problems. Hot coffee or Green Tea would help you. It makes it easier to breath. Peppermint is good also. In your tea.Hope you get feeling better.

don't drink or eat anything creamy--dairy--like milk-it cause more mucous in your throat. No acidy juices--apple, orange, pineapple.
The best thing i do for myself is homemade chicken noodle soup--not the canned--the natural chicken broth is good for you and hot green tea with honey and lemon to soothe your throat and cough-clear your nose.
If you have a cold vaporizer that is good too--or literally rub Vicks Vapo-rib on your chest and under your nose before bedtime to help relax and breath.
Sometimes a nice warm soaking bath helps. sorry you're feeling poorly.

I eat really hot and spicy salsas, that clears my sinuses very good and it makes me feel so much better. I also drink the broth, but FRESH, not like campbell's or anything like that. I do that for my kids as well and it works very good. Try tortilla soup, it's spicy and brothy!
