People had predicted the ending of the world every change of milenium since the medieval days, nothing is going to happen on Dec 31 2012, like nothing happened on Dec 31 2000 when so many Christian fanatics predicted the end of the world, and what about that false prophesy about the end of the world in Jun 6 2006, nonesense.

None of those predictions ever worried me cause I trust the Lord and the Bible says that not even the angels of Heaven knows the time of the second coming of The Lord but God Himself only, if you believe in the bible you have nothing to worry about, The Mayans didn't know better than God.

The Mayan calender ends 3. an Ouija Board reported so 4. there'll be a pole shift 5. there'll be a planetary alignment 6. there'll be a galactic alignment 7. an asteroid will hit earth 8. Planet X/ Nibiru will look 9. some crystal cranium nonsense 10. we are heading right into a photon belt (notwithstanding that’s meant to be 11. Indian Astronomer reported so 12. It's 12/21/2012.

The current cycle of the Mayan calendar will end and we will begin a new one. The Mayans believe there are a set of cycles that we go through over and over. We will be ending the one we are in and restarting another on 12/21/2012.

They do not predict that the world will end. However, I think I remember hearing that the next cycle which we will begin is not a particularly positive one.

The mayans predicted that date would be the end of the world but no man knows what time the world will end. The most we can do is assume. But, one thing i can say is, Jesus will be coming in less than 20 years so it is possible it will happen in 2012 but unlikely, there will be 7 years of poverty (which is happening now) and 7 years of riches and abundance and after that Jesus will come.

Nothing is going to happen in 2012. People have been predicting end times since the very beginning. Live for now and don't worry about stories.

this date is the end of all the mayas 52 year cycles. according to the mayas, every 52 years the world had a chance of being destroyed. After 52 cycles of 52 years, that is when the world would definitely end. Oddly enough, the spanish arrived at the end of one of those 52 year cycles

Giant platypuses (or would that be platypi?) will devour the major cities of the earth, thus plunging the world into a new era known as THE PLATYPUS AGE.
