Edward Thompson was Born Nov. 20 1905 in New york City and died December 1980 In Anne Arundel County Maryland. I believe this is my husbands Great gradfather but need more informati in order to confirm this and I have hit a brick wall so I am hoping that someone else may have better luck then I and be able to aid in this search. My husbands Grandmother's Obit meerly listed Her parents Names and no dates So the search has not been easy. If you find any info you can reply here or email me directly at [e-mail].

My Mother inlaw passed away a few years ago and we have no info past her parents that can be confirmed so If you find anything please email it , itll be greatly appreciated.

all i know is that edward eventually married a woman Named Rena and they had I believe 5 or so kids, One of which was My husbands Grandmorther Rena. She was born in Nyc abt 1931 and died in Md in 2004. Rena(the daughter ) married Bernard howard abt 1961 In Laurel Md and had 3 Children togerther. All the confirmed info I have is that Rena (Howard ) Thompson was born Oct 27 1931 In nyc To Edward and Rena Thompson So to be honest even the dates above are a guess but given the fact he was born in NYC and died In MD the dates of this Edward Thompson looks like a good lead I just need to confirm or deny. If you could assist thatd be awsome, I am so confused and lost on this one cause this was a side no one has discussed with me to have any other leads. all i have is rena howards obit.

Without some other point of reference, which one is him (if any) is a guess. The list above assumes his parents didn't move from NYC in the 5 years after his birth, that they were there when the enumerator came around, and that they got his age right within 2 years. One or more of those assumptions could be wrong.

Have you sent for SSN applications? They are $27 each but have the mother's maiden name. Marriage licenses may help too, and they are cheaper. Something many people overlook is the marriage article in the society pages, although if he married in NYC the Times probably didn't cover it; the social pages can be a gold mine if your ancestors are in a small town.

I found in the U.S. Census dated 4/30/1930 for Manhatten, NY
