my neighbor is abusing his wife? Almost every night, I hear my neighbors wife screaming loudly and the bed squeaking for about 10 minutes... then silence. The next morning, I see them kiss each other goodbye as they both drive to work... as if nothing happened! Is she just scared to report it herself? Or should I do it for her?

I hope you are not just kidding around, because you do know your description sounds a lot like they could be doing more than abusing each other, am I right? I suppose if you did call the police, and they were just having passionate intercourse, not too much harm done. It's nice that you are concerned. Is she bruised up and so forth? Honestly, if you see her being hurt and hear it then yes I believe you should do something immediately like contacting authorities. But honestly, if she is truly being abused she might need to take the first step and either flee or contact the police herself. It's hard to save someone who isn't ready to make the effort to save themselves. This isn't the middle east. Women do have rights, and if a woman is being abused, there are people ready to help her. It's a slippery slope. You don't want to wait around until someone gets killed if violence is part of the issue, but then again, maybe they have an amazing sex life?

report it!! this kind of violence ALWAYS escalates into something so much more serious. be a hero and report it. for anyone who says its not your business is wrong!! her husband made it your business the second she yelled for help. if you can hear her yelling its your responsibility as a caring human being to help save her.
