no, Jesus died for me and thats why i worship him and his father God. without God and Jesus, there would be no life. i know not all bad will happen to me, but i still have bad days. i am very blessed by the grace of God and a lot of other people are but they just dont realize it. a lot of christians in the bible were sent to prison, hated or beated, but i am going to stand up for what is right even if im standing alone.

That's EXACTLY why I became a Christian. Some have pointed out that Paul was beaten, put in prison etc. He also wrote:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, (23) gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

So, yes, we will have hardships. Paul did get good things and expected a greater reward after this life though. I am certain that Paul had joy and peace and all of that. I saw those qualities in Christians and I REALLY wanted to be new and to have the qualities mentioned in Galatians. I now have them! To know God outweighs any hardship I've ever had.

If anyone else wants them, check out www.godlovestheworld.com to see how!

I'm a Christian because I believe that good things happen for everyone who follows God's Way of life.

No, I am a Christian because I was chosen by God before the foundation of the world and because I live in this world and because of my own sins I experience many bad things just as well as good. Christians do not live a life of ease, comfort and pleasure. They experience the same things as other people with one exception and that is God is with them through it all.

Not really. I'm Christian because I believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah- the Son of God. I would like to think that my faith, hope and love for Christ helps me to have insight and direction that will help good things happen for me and those I know and love in my life. But, I'm also aware that some of the most important moments in Christ's life were probably very difficult and, truly, as humans we all have to have hard times to learn by.

I am a Christian because a good thing already happend, I found out that Jesus Christ loves me no matter how much or little anyone else does!

When you feel low or even rotten, remember that Jesus is there beside you with His arm around you. He waits for you to acknowledge Him and ask for His help. When you do, He is pleased to help you and bring you up in spirit. It is then that He knows that you truly believe in Him and will count on Him for comfort in your time of trouble....and He will comfort.

It is easy for us to thank God when we are happy and full and given new blessings. That is a blessing of His grace from an earlier suffering or trial. When you suffer, think of God then. He is right next to you and will hold your head up when it is sinking down. Just ask Him....

I wouldn't say for the good things, because God
says that it rains on the just and unjust.
I would venture to say that bad things happen
more often to Christians than unbelievers. But the destinations will be different. God's promise.

No. I'm Christian because I think it's true. Not everything that's happened to me because I'm Christian has been good.

I have to admit, I was an atheist who had never heard anything before that offered me hope for the future until I heard that Jesus came that I may have life and more abundantly.
At first I said the sinners prayer only to prove it wasn't real but soon found that something had in deed changed inside of me.
I had hope.
That was over twenty years ago and in that time I've had the best days of my life, and some of my worst however even so I have learned to always look forward to my future; good and bad.

Nicole,
I am a Christian because I believe that CHRIST is the Son of GOD and my personal Savior. HE was tortured and murdered for our sins. You also have an opportunity to become a Christian. I would be glad to assist you in finding a study group as soon as you make a decision to study HIS WORD. Have a great evening.
Thanks,
Eds

Being a Christian doesn't make good things happen to you. In fact, being in the Kingdom of God is not easy at all. When you are in your walk with Jesus, satan comes after you more. And tells you lies. I want to glorify God by following Him... I'm not in it so "good" things will happen. God will take care of me. As well as everyone else. No matter what, God will find his Glory in it all.
