We are moving into a 3 bedroom apartment. The third bedroom which is really big has to be divided into half so that everyone can have their own room in my apartment. So can someone please give me ideas? I have an idea about a room divider such as this http://www.amazon.com/Panel-Screen-Divider-Cherry-Finish/dp/B0000YS93Q/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1195167215&sr=1-11
But will it hold and not tip over with just a small push? And how does it stay connected to the wall without falling . Can someone describe the item to me? And also please can someone give me ideas on how to divide a big room completly in half?

the divider you've picked looks really gorgeous and is probably pretty sturdy, since the frame is cherry. i doubt it'll tip over easily. however, it's pretty expensive. if you want something cheaper, hanging a curtain will do the trick. you and the person on the other side will still kind of be roommate, especially since there's probably only one door to the room and one of you will have to walk through the others' space all the time. a curtain or a divider like the one you've picked will give you each your privacy though.

Check with a landlord first. For a secure wall, just frame it off with 2 X 4 stud walls, sheetrock, mud, prime and paint....maybe add base trim also. Put a doorway and door in if necessary. Offer to pay to have it removed if you move out..pretty easy to do other than repainting.
For a more temporary solution, maybe consider those curtain walls like hospitals use...just need a track in the ceiling.

A room divider that won't tip over is a curtain that hangs from the ceiling. It would be a cheap quick fix until you can have a room divider that is professionally installed or until a new wall is built. Fashionable curtain room dividers at urbanoutfitters.com!

My mom did this for me and my brother when we were little. She used duct tape to put a line across the floor.
