If the 'deer' has a spot weld, you won't be able to take it apart, without some work, and then more work trying to put it back together. It could easily be damaged beyond your ability to repair it.

I would suggest that you either purchase one when you get there as already mentioned, or, ship it ahead.

Ground shippers (UPS, FedEX, and others) will even come to your home to pick up items, if you have them packed already. You could use a simple cardboard box, or the original packaging. This would also relieve you of the burden of keeping track of it while traveling.

Why don't you just buy it from
dg when you get there? Can't imagine the look on the face of the x-ray guy when he checks your suitcase. LMAO She's taking rudolph home for the holiday's. His nose isn't working. Sorry this is just for a laugh, good luck taking deers on a non-flying Santa controlled trip!
