It's just "Okemo". Technically, it's Ludlow Mountain, but that seems to be forgotten trivia, but it was my home mountain for two years, so I'm a bit sentimental.

Anyway,

This is a video of my buddy Lee at Okemo:

It's not the best, but it's all I have as I don't take a lot of pix where I'm looking downhill.

Okemo is one of the two best places in Southern VT for beginner skiers. Bromley being the other. Both have excellent ski schools and programs for skier improvement.

Okemo has a wide range of terrain and there are a bunch of great slopes for "not great skiers". Here are some of my favorite trails.

Sachem is a great easy trail. It has some narrow spots, but it is a fun ride.

Sunburst and Coleman Brook..also easy, less turns than Sachem.

Mountain Road is a long traversing trail. Also very easy, but it gets flat at some spots and you'll need to speed up to make it over the flat spots.

Tuckered Out at Jackson Gore, while a green trail is still my favorite on that part of the mountain. (I think it got upgraded to blue last year.) It's fun!

Jolly Green, Timberline, Sapphire, Rimrock, Catnap, are some great runs on the main mountain...all blue trails. Lower Limelight on Jackson Gore is also good...blue too.

Don't let the black diamonds scare you too much. Quantum Leap on Jackson Gore is a great diamond trail for those who are unsure of theimselves. It has a couple of steep spots, but it is wide and you can make big turns to slow down if need be. Ledges and Exhibition on the main mountian are also usually good runs.

Have Fun!

okemo is agreat place especially for beginners--the trails are wide and long so you'll get a chance to really get into a groove while going downhill--there are also alot of beginner and intermediate trails spaced closely together so you would never have to touch a trail you feel uncomfortable on
