A generous oil application and massage is recommended before washing the hair. Frequent shampooing is harmful for dry hair. Sometimes lack of nutrients can also cause dry brittle hair. Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement on a daily basis. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

You can go to Sally's Beauty Supply (They have it online if you dont have one where you live. They have some AWESOME AFFORDABLE products by ION that are made just for us nappy-headed frizz balls lol (I just bought stuff from there yesterday for that purpose lol) or you can try at home stuff. My mom's a cosmetologist here's a few insider tips she's shared with me over the years. I'll include my opinion with the examples below.

1. 1/2 cup of Mayo in your hair for 30 minutes brushed in root to tip. yes it's disgusting and you'll smell like your about to eat a sandwhich, but if you can stand the smell, go for it. It's put essential oils back into your scalp. rinse; shampoo & conditon like usual.
{I thought this was OK. not the best, mostly because of the smell - my hair did seem to be shiny looking but not in a greasy way}

2. Rinsing your hair with lemon juice is said to bring life and shine back to dull hair. {I liked this, I still do it from time to time}

3. Add Rosemary oil to your shampoo & conditioner (Like a tablespoon per bottle) It works as a hair rejuvenator & thought to stimulate hair growth. {Never tried it}

4. Egg Yolk and luke warm water. Slowly add and beat lukewarm water into the egg mixture. It's said that this increases the softness to your hair so it doesn't FEEL like broom-straw hair. {I've tried this and still do it time to time}

Hope this helped any.

First: you should stop straightening your hair so much, cause the heat is what is damaging your hair. Second: buy a deep conditioning treament for your hair. that should make it look a lot healthier

use pantene moisterizing shampoo and conditioner. take a shower and leave in the conditioner then get out and leave in for a while. then wash it out. try to only shampoo the roots of your hair and condition the ends. good luck!

Trim it and condition it with a deep oil conditioner every time you wash your hair and don't wash it too much. Wash it once a week.
