There are many who are much better than me in all sorts of ways.
As a human being I have this irresistable urge to express myself regardless of my quality of education, intelligence or character.
You just can't keep me quiet!!

This question comes up like 10 times per week. I'll answer this the same as I have been:
How can you *not* best represent what *you* believe? If you can't represent what you believe, then you don't believe it. If there is knowledge you don't have about the history of something, well, who cares? You still believe whatever you believe and can simply state that. This isn't a college exam and you aren't graded on how much of something you know...we are talking about "beliefs", so everyone is the foremost expert in the feild of "their own beliefs".

Well, since my religious position is only my own (I don't believe in a particular dogma, although I do belong to a church), I would respond by saying that I'm the ONLY representative for my particular religious position; and thus, by default, the best.

Yes, I do consider that.
I only answer when it occurs to me that my words are helpful, even if I am flaming a troll!
Am I a shining example of my position? I don't know, so I let it come out as it comes to me.
Does what is said here really important?? Not likely.

I am NOT the best example of a Mormon. Not by far, but I try. I'm honest in my answers to the best of my knowledge. I am just a mortal human being, so of course I make mistakes. The nice thing is, it was someone who was FAR from perfect who introduced me to the Gospel and to the church. I don't think I would have accepted it as readily as I did if it came from someone I viewed as perfect/SO much closer to perfection than I was.

On the contrary - I'm a good example. That's because I'm an ordinary Jewish lady who's well-versed in Judaism. It's also because I'm not remotely perfect, I know it, and don't claim to be.
Anybody who claims to be a "shining example" is someone from whom you should run very, VERY far and fast, no matter WHAT religion they espouse.

I know I'm not and I try not to be a "shining example".
If we Christians were perfect there would be no need of a Savior.
You should not look to Christians for examples. You should look to the perfect example: Jesus
Sending you a smile to help pick up your day.

I worry about that a lot. I put a lot of thought into my answers and try to weigh my personal thoughts with my religious thoughts. I hope I do not do my faith a disservice and that I represent it well. Although I certainly don't claim to be its best representative or example, that title belongs solely to Jesus.

I represent myself and that is it.. I have no religious position and there is no one else here that can represent me. I am not a goal for anyone to aspire to nor would I ever wish to be.

Haha! That would not be good. There are far better representatives than I am. I have too many smart@$$ comments. But that's the way they like it. And no I don't know who "they" actually are.
