Dont use the the web - unless its just research - if you own the car call a dealership and give them the V.I.N. # and ask to see if there are any open recalls and what if any past recalls that have been closed...

You might check out the NHTSA for US recalls.
YIKES, I searched recalls for my 2002 GMC Envoy, general summary showed TONS of recalls. I wonder how many have been fixed. Eeeek!
